New apartment

I moved across the street this weekend (yay campus housing...).  Since moving in I have
* emptied a very, very full drier lint trap (apartment-mate that has been living here for a year:  huh...I wondered why it took so long to dry things..)
* fixed the outlets on the sink side of the kitchen (aka, pushed the little button on the one in the corner to reset them)
* fixed the garbage disposal (aka cleaned out all the gunk - including the handle for the spray nozzle on the sink - and found a button on the bottom of the garbage disposal that reset it, I'm pretty sure the garbage disposal is what had blown the circuits on that side of the kitchen)
* scrubbed the kitchen sink, since it had been building up crap from the fact that it couldn't drain properly.
* figured out that I can use the beat up sprayer handle to make the sprayer work, even though it is too beat up to properly attach
* poured draino down the bathroom sink so that it will actually drain
* discovered that the mail box was completely full, brought in the mail and sorted it (looks like it hadn't been checked since last fall...)

I am in the process of getting my stuff organized and figuring out where it gets to live.  I am also wondering how my new apartment-mate who has been living here for a year had put up with all of the stuff that I have fixed in the last couple of days ...even if she didn't know how to take care of it she could have gotten the maintenance people to come fix it.  She seems nice enough though.

On the plus side, moving means that I now have only one apartment-mate, the apartment actually has a washer and dryer, the kitchen has a double sink, my bedroom has a closet and our living room area has a high ceiling (yay being on the top floor) and a big window with a lovely view of the courtyard.

If you want my new address shoot me an email or leave a comment or something :-)
