Fail weather reporters
I'm sitting in the airport and thus actually watching the weather report on TV instead of just looking up the forecast online.
On the screen we see a picture of a large, reasonably spherical hail stone with a flexible measuring tape wrapped around it. The tape shows that the circumference is a little over 18 inches. What they say:
"The diameter of this record breaking hail is over 18 inches! It is almost 8 inches wide!"
*facepalm*
