I am working on a review of the ASUS Transformer (TF-101, 16GB, no keyboard dock yet) that I'm hoping to have ready for initial posting next week. The issue with a straight review is that nobody really knows what tablets are supposed to be let alone what makes a good one different than a bad one. Because of this, I don't know what anyone will find relevant. So, in addition to a vanilla product review, I'm interested in conducting a reader participation experiment. If there is anything you want to know about the ASUS Transformer tablet, ask in the comments. The answers will be posted below to form an FAQ/review hybrid of sorts.
How does the display compare to the iPad/iPad 2?
Both devices use IPS displays which boast high contrast and color accuracy at nearly any viewing angle. They use scratch resistant glass with a fingerprint resistant coating, the latter of which is slightly more effective on the iPad 2. Both are glossy and prone to glare. The iPad 2's display has higher contrast and glare isn't quite as bad; however the Transformer sports a higher resolution, 1280x800 pixels versus 1024x768 on the iPad 2. Neither distinguishes itself in a meaningful way, but both are fantastic.
