Bad Kitty

So, apparently that tranquilizer didn't help too much with Pepper.

I had to walk her a couple of miles to the vet (see, not having a car sucks sometimes) and that was bad enough, but she didn't complain, just tried to sleep in her carrier. She hissed a little when I got inside the vet's building, but that's to be expected. I brought her to the room, she was scared, but so far so good. Then the technician came to weigh her and she started hissing rather badly. So instead of the technician weighing her, I did.

Then the vet came in. Major kitty hissy fit occurred, so I held her, and he checked her heat and breathing, and kidneys.

And that's it. She went nuts. I mean, full on hissing, attacking, spitting, growling, nuts. I have never seen her like that EVER.

The vet tried to take her into the back in her carrier to take her blood. He came back about 32 minutes later and said it would be impossible to take her blood and give her a full exam.

So now I have two options: 1. Schedule a house-call (who knew vets did that?) and see if she's better at home or 2. Bring her in and have her go under general anesthesia every time she needs check-ups or booster shots.

Joy.

BAD KITTY!
