Hello, it's been awhile...

had mucho puter trouble! Hopefully, things are now back to some kind of normalcy. Of course, the problem with paging through thousands of emails returns...sometimes I just want to smash the Inbox...*sigh*.

Well, what is there to say about my life? Ken and I had about 5 days sans children, the girls stayed with my sister in Staten Island...this was not just for alone time, I wanted Ken to *dry* out (he refused rehab, and I couldn't think of anything else to help him, so this was my last ditch resort to get him better) This has been an ongoing debate, for about 2 years, his consumption. I'm no teetotaller, however I maintain that with his post traumatic stress syndrome, and his current medication routine, that he should severely cut back and/or quit totally. Prior to becoming parents, sure we both drank daily, and our daily consumption was quite considerable; however, obviously as a pregnant and then nursing mom, i had to cut back, and/or quit...and now with my diet regimen I really don't want to drink due to the caloric intake...also, since I was preaching to Ken to quit, how could I drink with him, or even drink period? That would be quite hypocritical. Also, with my brother's passing in October, and the nature of his death (his blood alcohol level was .38, and he died of a head trauma from falling down the basement stairs), I was worried about Ken (my bro and Ken were 1 year apart in high school, and were drinking mates pre-Katie). Anyhoo, he had DT's the first 36 hours, I didn't get much sleep the first night, but he's been dry now about 10 days (with the occasional beer here and there)...he says that he feels great, and also the occasional beer doesn't sit as well as it used too...hopefully this will continue...

Now, with him hopefully continuing to be dry, I'll be able to job network...Ken got laid off last December, and he gets severance until this December, but he hasn't had any nibbles (I guess no one wants a 44 year old banker who spent 17 years with the same company). So it looks like (with my profession of nursing) that I'll be the bread winner...wish me luck!

I promise another update soon...

PSS : got to see The Fantastic Four last week with the eldest...Loved IT! Actually, I embarrassed Kat, with all of the squeeing that I did! Funny, I wouldn't have pegged me for a squee, but I guess that anything is possible!
