I must know something. A while back I came across a Saiyuki managa. It took place before Sanzo and Goku met Hakai and Gojo(?), right after Sanzo freed Goku. They were at some temple or another, and Sanzo was hiding Goku from the priests but they found him anyway and he freaked out and broke his headband.
