There is only one problem with a writing challenge to "Write about something you know nothing about."
Said problem is that you know NOTHING about what you're writing about.
So I have 12 14 single-spaced pages of this story written, and I have absolutely no way of knowing whether it's even believable, let alone, you know, NOT AWFUL. Seriously. Brothers who commit crimes in the west/midwest? Driving cars? Shooting guns? Brothers interacting? What the fuck was I even thinking? The whole thing intrigues me because I know nothing about it, but that means that there are a lot of things about which I have no clue. It's kind of a cross between the beginning of From Dusk Till Dawn and Supernatural with a little of THE GAY SUBTEXT thrown in because there is something wrong in my brain. Ugh. What. I don't even know.
Well, at least I'm writing. That is the one good thing about all of this; I'm not wallowing in depression much anymore.
