Smashing It Up! (I got tagged and this makes for a good short entry...)

evb did this on her LJ and since I haven't done one of these in a long time, I figure I'm one of the ones to be tagged. Besides this makes for a great short entry!

1) Tuesday night was amazing. I got to see Danzig live for once. I went with my friend Eric. I got to see
evb for a second which was great. (I really wish I could've hung out with her just a little more, but I'm sure I'll catch up with her soon!) I'm thankful that her and Eric got me to give Danzig and the Misfits a second chance. I kinda figured that I'd get into their stuff once I got older (I didn't like the misfits when I was in middle school. In high school, I heard "American Nightmare" and became rather interested), but both of them really gave me a huge appreciation for the music. Not to mention, seeing Danzig live seriously gave me a love for life! What really made me thrilled to death was when Danzig did two of my favorite songs during the encore, which were "Dirty Black Summer" and "She Rides."
2) Going to the Black Cat tonight to see She Wants Revenge!!! I can't wait to see Adam and Justin again. It's been almost a year since I last saw them live. Not to mention, my best friend from high school, Nathan, is coming to DC to go to the show with me! It will be cool to finally share a little bit of my world with him.
3) Yesterday afternoon, I hung out at WMUC with my friend Paul. We played a huge set of Morrissey and Smiths songs at the end of his radio show in celebration of this coming Wednesday. Paul and I are going to see Morrissey together!
4) I am seeing Ryan Adams on Tuesday and that's really thrilling! I just found a ticket on ticketmaster for front row so maybe I'll go ahead and get it now and just take the risk of having a blocked view.
5) My friend Melonie called me today! Looks like we might be hanging out this Thursday, which is great because I haven't seen her in almost 2 years.
6) I got registered for a few of the classes that I will need for next semester! I'm quite excited that it looks like I'll be graduating in Spring of 2009!
7) This morning I downloaded all sorts of punk/hardcore punk and goth stuff. I forgot how much I love this sort of music. There's something great about this music from the late 70s to mid 80s that's dark and loud and some of it is fast. I had my door opened while blasting some Ramones and Misfits. The girl across the hall from my room was like "Dude what are you playing?" I got a serious smile when I told her.
8) Alison and I had dinner Thursday night. After dinner, we went to my dorm and discussed literature and vampires! (In terms of vampires, we discussed the Black Dagger Brotherhood series haha) We started talking about Eric and some other things. After showing her a few photos and some video clips of Danzig when he was young, she agreed with me that Eric should be Danzig for Halloween. We both tried convincing him to be Glenn for Halloween. Hopefully, our persuasiveness will work and I will have photographic results! All Eric has to do is let his side burns grow out a little (which means he doesn't trim them until after Halloween!) and wear all black and black arm bands. He has the clothes to do it and the haircut!
