Ravyn's Blah Blah:
This follows the Challenge #6 entry I did about Genma Ken...Ikki/Hyoga, now that opens a whole world of possiblities...(evil cackles)
The air thickened. Everything went hot again. And it isn't going away. Hyoga, as if in a daze, watched Ikki lower his arm and cutting the space between them. Ikki took his chin in his hand, following the contour of his cheekbones to his neck. The neck of a swan...his eyes glittered like the saphire on his Cygnus Cloth. Hyoga felt something inside him break down into tiny pieces. He tensed his neck a little to kiss Ikki, but Phoenix pulled away.
Guilty and hungry, Hyoga stumbled backwards. Rejected? Of course, he never expected otherwise...
"This...is this what you really want, Hyoga?" Ikki asked, turning to face Hyoga with his back.
"Yes." At this glimmer of hope Hyoga leaped forward, placing his hands on Ikki's shoulders, forcing him to spin around.
"And you won't regret this?"
"No!" He is burning up. Everything about him is burning up. He was sure that if he used his Diamond Dust now, it would twirl with flames.
Suddenly, Ikki pushed Hyoga onto the floor as his hands began to travel across his body. He planted a kiss on the neck, hearing the blond man whimper at this sudden invasion of privacy. The heat is getting unbearable. Hyoga felt an attack of panic, his passion had suddenly slithered away, not knowning where he is or what he is doing.
"I regret it now..."He cried.
"Fight me then, you know you can ward me off if you wanted to."
It seemed a minute later when the gong summoned for dinner. Wondering how on earth they weren't discovered, Hyoga picked up his clothes and ran to the change room. He couldn't fight off Ikki after all. was Ikki too strong?
*You didn't want him to stop* A nasty voice licked his ears and Hyoga ran faster, as if by doing that the thought could be shaken away.
Dinner that night, Hyoga thought it would be better if he sat away from Ikki. His body was screaming pain at him, and he was sure that he would betray the secret if he sat anywhere near the culprit. Having a Gold Saint as teacher really has its conviniences, namely in the form of being able to sit at their table without raised eyebrows. Given his history with Camus, him sitting with his admired Sensei is something no one would question.
Well, almost no one.
"Why's Ducky not sitting with us?" Seiya plonked himself at the table, grabbing a bread roll and shoving it in his mouth. Shiryu shrugged, while Shun said in his usual gentle way that he finds nothing wrong with Hyoga sitting with his Sensei once in a while.
"I wonder what they talk about over the dinner table, hey? Looks like heaps more fun than what we have here. Shiryu, you should go and spy on them sometimes, seeing as Ducky never discusses any of his chit-chats with Camus."
Shiryu raised an eyebrow, looking at his friend, amused. "What makes me the chosen candidate, Seiya?"
"You're the only other one with a Gold Saint as a teacher."
"Yeah, who's all the way in China."
Shun couldn't help laughing. Without the shadow of up-coming wars, his friends are only bickering teenagers. It is such a good feeling, being able to live in peace. All the better when all the saints are resurrected, he thought as he eyed the Gold Saint's Table.
Milo and Kanon were, as usual, involved in some heated discussion, bread rolls were thrown and Saga tried his best to stop them, threatening the implementation of a dinner seating plan; Deathmask is saying something to Aphrodite which made him laugh so hard he nearly spilled his wine; Mu and Shaka were doing their best impersonation of "We don't know any of these idoits" but couldn't help but give into the odd laughter every few seconds.
That is what life should be like. At least they have a chance to experience "fun". Hyoga looks a little out of place in the middle of the circus act. He is six years yonger than the youngest of Gold Saints, and yet he acts as if he is six years olders and the eldest. He seemed extrememly quiet that night, and although seated at the Gold Saint's Table his eyes constently flickered towards the Bronze Table.
Ikki looked up and met his gaze, giving a knowing smile which made Hyoga look the other way immediately. Just at that moment, Kanon and Milo decided that they have pushed Saga to his limit, and began looking for other diversions. For Milo, there is but one choice: Camus. Who is conviniently sitting next to Hyoga.
"Budge over, Hyoga." Milo flashed him one of his famous smiles. Defeated, Hyoga gave a sigh and began to collect his tray. As he moved, he couldn't help but wince. His backside is killing him.
"Did you hurt yourself in training?" Camus asked, not even looking up from his food. Milo, in his usual gutter-minded way, smiled and answered Camus instead of Hyoga. "Why, I see this is definately not from training...c'mon, Camus, please don't tell me you have forgoteen your first..." That minute, Camus gathered some mashed potatoes in his spoon and stuffed them into Milo's mouth.
*You don't know how accurate you are, Milo...* Hyoga thought, and weighed up his choices. Sitting in Milo's old spot would mean having to be seated next to Kanon, who was tricking Aiolia into something by the looks of it. The other choice was with the Bronze Saints...but that would mean sitting opposite to Ikki.
Just as he hesitated, Kanon looked up at him and smiled evilly. Bronze Table that is, then.
Trying his best not to give too much away, Hyoga walked towards his usual seat and started eating.
"What's wrong, Hyoga?" Ikki purred, his eyes glittering unheathily. As unusual as it was, Seiya was the one that saved Hyoga.
"Don't tell me you found out something you'd rather not know about your Sensei."
"Something like that." Hyoga muttered vaguely, heat rising again in his cheeks. He dared to peep at Shun, and found with a degree of satisfaction that the Andromeda Saint was blushing as hard as he was.
"I am definately going to think up an excuse to sit at the Goldie's Table from now on!" Seiya' sudden cry could be herd in the entire dining room. After a second or two of silence, Kanon retorted, "in your dreams!"
Ikki used the time in which he sat and ate to observe Hyoga more closely. He is definately very handsome. The softeness of childhood remained on his chin, but the strong conture of a man could be seen vageuly already. He could love Hyoga. He really could. Ikki thoght about the battles they've been through together, the number of times he felt the strange ache in his heart when he saw Hyoga fallen. He remembered the way Hyoga looked at him when they first met. So cold and unmoved, yet so passionate and emotional. He is the most beautiful contradiction.
*No*
Ikki pulled himself away from his thoughts. He should not think of Hyoga that way. He cannot betray Esmeralda.
*I love Esmeralda and no one else.*
After dinner, Hyoga lingered a little late purposely, hoping Ikki would catch up with him. He didn't. Hyoga couldn't sleep that night. By midnight, he couldn't restrain himself any longer and creeped out of his hut towards Ikki's.
He knocked, and when he herd no reply he opened the door. And wished he didn't. Ikki was in bed, with two other women. His first reaction was to stare. It was such a shock he didn't know what to do, it was as if everything has frozen by the three figures on the bed.
"I'm sorry" he managed to croak. All he wanted to do was get the hell out of there.
"No, no. Why don't you come and join us? Sarah here is free." Ikki laughed and ran his hand sensuously over one of the women's back, but pain seeped out of his eyes so stealthily that Hyoga didn't notice.
*I must push you away, Hyoga.*
"I don't think that would be necesary." Hyoga retorted, his eyes growing cold as he moved away from the door.
*You will never understand, Hyoga, how cheap and eay it is to deal one's body. These women, they mean nothing in comparison to...to...*
"No!" As soon as Ikki cried out he wished he had biten his tongue. Hyoga stopped and turned. Ikki waved the two women away and looked at Hyoga thoguhtfully.
"Hyoga." He managed to whisper, the pain in his eyes becoming obvious. Softening at this sign of regret, Hyoga walked over and rested his head on Ikki's bedside. Absently Ikki stroked his hair. They stayed like that for what seemed like an eternity.
"Do you love me, Ikki?"
Hyoga was lying down with his face away from Ikki, so he couldn't see the frown that touched Phoenix's brows.
"Don't be so childish, Hyoga."
Hyoga closed his eyes tightly to stop the tears flowing down his cheeks. "Can't you at least pretend that you love me?"
"That would be out of pity."
"I don't care." Sobs muffled his voice as Hyoga raised his head up to look at Ikki in the face. He expected to see blatant lack-of-care but all he saw was pain. The pain which is over-whelming. All he wanted to do then was hold Ikki and kiss him. It wouldn't even matter if the attraction is purely physical. He just wanted Ikki.
"I love you, Hyoga."
*It's true...I just can't admit it. Not now.* Ikki's mind screamed and raged, and for a second Ikki wished Hyoga was a mind-reader. That would make everything so easy. He could even fool himself into thinking that as long as his lips didn't utter the words, he hadn't betrayed Esmeralda. He bent down to touch his lips to Hyoga's, hoping he could do so without guilt, withooutthe fear of hurting him.
"I...hate you."
Hyoga's tears made the kiss bitter.
