It has been a while since I have translated a flumpool song...or any song for that matter. >__<;
However it is perfect timing now, since I could say this is present for the holiday/end of the year! So nobody can complain that I never gave you anything. ^__^ V
Anyway, translating "Time Capsule" wasn't as hard as the other flumpool songs I have tried to translate. Hopefully this means that I am actually starting to understand Japanese and not just messing it up. *crosses fingers*
I know I have made mistakes, and I fully appreciate corrections! So, please, if you find a mistake or can suggest an alternate translation, send it my way!
Without further ado, please enjoy flumpool's beautiful lyrics!
Also, I don't mind if you post the lyrics anywhere else, but please credit me and my fried brain cells for taking the time to translate!

Song Title: Time Capsule

Kanji & Romanji
この街はジオラマ 詰め込まれた箱の中
kono machi wa diorama tsumekomareta hako no naka
人と人はぶつかり痛んでく
hito to hito wa butsukari itandeku
傷つけるのが他人? それとも癒すの他人?**
kizutsukeru no ga hito? soretomo iyasu no hito?**
結局みんな答え探してる
kekkyoku minna kotae sagashiteru
絵文字のハートの数 信じて待ちぼうけた駅
emoji no haato no kazu shinjite machibouketa eki
掴めたと想う瞬間 すり抜ける***
tsukameta to omou toki surinukeru***
人はひとりじゃ 泣くことしかできないけど
hito wa hitorija naku koto shika dekinaikedo
胸焦がした 恋の終わりも
mune kogashita koi no owari mo
抱いた夢に破れそうなときも
idaita yume ni yaburesou na toki mo
ひとりじゃない そう想えた
hitorijanai sou omoeta
少年の誓いを詰め込んだ カプセル
shounen no chikai wo tsumekonda kapusaru
自分じゃなきゃダメなものが何かあるかと
jibunjanakya dame na mono ga nanika aru kato
覗き込む鏡に 書いてはない…けど
nozokikomu kagami ni kaitewanai....kedo
奏で合うギターで わかりあったりハズしたり****
kanade au gitaa de wakariattari hazushitari
おまえらしいって笑う仲間がいる******
omaerashi tte warau nakama ga iru
思い出し笑い かみしめる幸せよ
omoidashiwarai kanashimeru shiawase yo
喜びなら きっと倍になって
yorokobi nara kitto bai ni natte
大きな哀しみは半分に
ookina kanashimi wa hanbun ni
夢は それぞれだけど
yume wa sorezore dakedo
肩組んであの日と同じ誓い 抱いて
kata kunde ano hi to onaji chikai daite
あの晴れた日 木陰に埋めた
ano hareta hi kokage ni umete
小さな銀のカプセルひとつ
chisana gin no kapusaru hitotsu
今もずっとこれからも
ima mo zutto korekaramo
繋ぐ変わらない想い
tsunagu kawaranai omoi
喜びなら きっと倍になって
yorokobi nara kitto bai ni natte
大きな哀しみは半分に
ookina kanashimi wa hanbun ni
ひとりじゃない そう想えた
hitorijanai sou omoeta
少年の誓いをこの絆を 抱いて
shounen no chikai wo kono daite
Translation
This town is a diorama crammed inside of a box*
The clash between people will bring pain.
Does it hurt others? Or does it heal them?
Everyone is looking for the answer in the end
At the station, I waited and waited, believing in the heart emoticons.
The moment I thought I finally seized it, it slips through.
When people are alone, all they can do is cry.
The end of love, and when my dreams were torn,
Both scarred my heart.
I am not alone. That's what I thought.
A young man's oath crammed in a capsule.
If I don't need myself, there will be something bad,
However it is not written in the mirror I am looking in.
We'll come together to play guitar, and get to know each other.
I have acquaintances who laugh just like you.
I reminisce and laugh as I reflect on happiness.
If you're happy, I'm sure it will be doubled,
And any large amount of sadness will be halved.
However, there are still many dreams.
With arms linked, that day we embraced the same oath.
On that clear day, we buried a tiny silver capsule,
Under the shade of a tree.
Our feelings will still be the same,
In the distant future as they are now.
If you're happy, I'm sure it will be doubled,
And any large amount of sadness will be halved.
I'm not alone. That's what I thought.
The oath of young men is embraced by this bond.

Diorama : (Taken from the Wiki) is a three-dimensional full-size or miniature model, sometimes enclosed in a glass showcase for a museum. For example, putting together a model car and glass box around it for display.
**In this sentence, they use the kanji: 他人 , which is tanin in romanji. However when he sings this sentence, he says hito instead. Tanin means outsider or other person, while hito is basically just a general person.
***Also, in this sentence, they use the kanji: 瞬間, which is shunkan in romanji. When he sings this sentence, he says it as toki instead. Shunkan means moment or an instant/second in time, while toki is used for time in general, at least in this instance.
****This lyric "奏で合うギターで わかりあったりハズしたり" was hard for me to translate, mostly because of the last part: ハズしたり. I searched in a few dictionaries to find out what "ハズ" is, but had no luck. There were a few guesses as to what it was, however I didn't settle on what it means. Therefore, I left the last part out of the translation. If anyone knows what it is, please let me know!!!
******I am not sure about the translation I came up for this sentence: おまえらしいって笑う仲間がいる . I translated it as "I have acquaintances who laugh just like you." It seems sort of random, maybe because I didn't fully translate the sentence above it. If I made a mistake, let me know. Let me know if it is correct, too.
