GIFT (Generations in Faith Together) is an intergenerational catechetical program that meets once each month. At GIFT this Sunday, our topic was prayer. We discussed prayer experiences, the Newman Fellowship had their Labrynth set up for us to use which was very nice, and we made prayer rocks. This is my prayer rock. Essentially, it's a literal "knock on the head" reminder to pray - you put it on your pillow in the morning, and then when you get in bed you hit your head on it. During the night, you put it on the floor so you step on it when you get out of bed in the morning (I put mine in one of my slippers). It seems like a silly thing, but I think it's actually quite clever.
