Annie Proulx joins the community of writers who don't like fanfiction of her works by slamming Brokeback Mountain fanfic. Apparently, she's been sent fix-the-ending-of-the-story fics (by mostly straight male writers, according to her) and she thinks they're missing the point of her story. She also called it "copyright infringement."
I doubt very highly this is going to stop fanficcers on communities like wranglers, though, unless she starts making with the cease and decist orders.
