Yeah, Xena, listen to your wife

My current job doing data entry of pledge cards means I have to read people's handwriting all day and type their addresses and such into the database. After several weeks of this, I am the country's biggest advocate for bringing penmanship back in school. People, someone has to read your handwriting and input it into a system. There is no such thing as a robot that reads chickenscratch for us.

I've been getting season 3 of "Xena" from Netflix. This was an awesome season. The whole Daehok arc was the best. (I didn't like everything, but Hope was pretty damn awesome.) I remember watching part 1 of "Sacrifice" and seeing Hope as an adult and not knowing about it beforehand, and just bouncing in my seat like, "YES! THAT'S SO COOL!!" \o/

Hudson Leick does audio commentary on the two-part season finale. I wish Renee O'Conner had been present as well so I could hear stories about what it was like to play Hope AND Gabrielle, but Hudson is just nuts. She's a fun woman. She RIFFS the show. XD She has them FAST-FORWARD through scenes she doesn't feel like doing commentary for. XD I've never seen/heard anyone do that in audio commentarys before. Then she makes fun of everything and seems to have some sort of crush on Renee O'Conner as she talks about her body a lot. My favorite riff: Gabrielle is telling Xena that they need to accept Callisto's help to defeat Hope, and Hudson goes, "Yeah Xena, listen to your wife." XD XD XD I know Hudson kicked Skeet's ass around in Chill Factor, but I haven't seen her do much else since "Xena." :(

Another great riff: "Callisto always has to get in everybody's personal space. What are you looking for, Callisto? More clothes?" XD

If I ever take the initiative to get into shape, I'm going to take up staff fighting just because Gabrielle was SO EFFING AWESOME with that staff. One of my favorite things EVER.

The bloopers are fun too. Lucy as Xena: "I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. .... I don't have any sleeves."

Then there's another scene where Xena and Gab come into a room where Joxar is supposed to be under the covers in a bed, and he's snuck out and replaced himself with pillows. Xena's supposed to whip the covers off to reveal the pillows. They had a crew member hide under the covers, and when Xena (Lucy) pulls them off, the guy goes, "YAAH!" and everyone SCREAMS in surprise. It's so great. XD

It's too bad the show jumped the shark halfway through the fourth season. :P

Oh, yeah. TWO! DAYS! OFF! TWO! DAYS! OFF! \o/ Triumph arms again!

work, xena
