So it’s the end of the year officially and I should probably write something epic to cap it all off. So many things happened in 2009 that it will be hard to report on each one but I’ll give it shot…

I finished my shopping. My presents are wrapped. I just finished my annual ego boost (my annual work performance review). In thirty minutes I'm leaving to go to have serious nom noms with my Brandon and his family. Today will be a good day.

The last couple of days have been utterly fantastic. Thursday, Brandon came down to meet the rest of the family so we had delicious German food from the Bayern Stube. Labor Day weekend was low-key and relaxing, as it should be. In retrospect, I didn’t do much (even though I probably should have) but clean and catch up on some reading & shows. I'm enjoying my time off splendidly and would probably have liked it more had we not had this dismal rain. >.> We made use of the day instead by watching such patriotic movies as "Yankee Doodle Dandee" & "Team America: World Police," which made us feel very much in tune with meaning of the holiday. I had a very enjoyable weekend due to getting to see old college friends (Sa-chan, Manda, & Jessica <3) and had a very memorable Easter. Saturday was full of downtown Champaign's Japanese food with a wrapping up of the evening at the Blind Pig, a fascinating bar that highlights a wide array of beers and meads.
