WTF HP fics?

I've got all these ideas for post-DH HP fics, some of them are a bit cracky, most of them angsty because I am nothing if not the Queen of Angst. I haven't written true fanfiction in a long while. Huh; I actually loved Harry/Ginny, not because I think it's a good pairing, but precisely because it was like a nice, big 'fuck you' to the Harry/Draco crowd. Gawd, I hate that pairing. Hate it with the passionate burning of a thousand suns.

SHE LIVES!!!

Well, yeah, Draco is a prat a LOT of the time. I really, really think he's gone a long way in redeeming himself, though. We know thanks to Half-Blood Prince that he's no killer, and in Deathly Hallows he proves he's not entirely cowardly, either. I think there's hope for Draco, even if he isn't going to turn into another Mr. Weasley.

So I think that's why I'm able to like Harry/Draco better than Harry/Ginny. XD

He's become more likable, sure, and I almost felt sympathy for him in the Half-Blood Prince, but really, he's still a two-faced git and I still don't like him. I do like Ginny, though, just not with Harry. Thinking about it, any pairing with Harry in it feels... kinda forced to me.

So can I just say that I hate both pairings, but I hate Harry/Draco a lot more? :D

Ron/Hermione, though, that's pure cuddly right there, and ain't nobody's gonna convince me otherwise.

Yeah, I was HOPING Harry wouldn't end up with anyone, because I felt the same way. I knew the entire time that the likelyhood of that happening was absolute zero.

Gawd, what is this obsession with pairing people up? On both the fans' and, alas, on the author's part? I think, in protest, if I ever write a HP fic (unlikely), Harry'll have entered some wizarding order that proclaims he must stay celibate.

Okay, it would take a TEENSY amount of effort for you to do it. But none whatsoever to let ME do it!

BTW, you DO realize that Harry/Draco fans are just saying things like "Harry isn't really happy with Ginny and he and Draco get together anyway!!!11!!" or, "Did you see that nod Draco gave Harry?? TOTAL DECLARATION OF THEIR SECRET LOVE!!!"

Well, my darling, if your point was to make me hate the H/D crowd even more, there you go. ._. I know they refuse to aknowledge canon, but that also gives me a handy excuse to lump them all into the 'ignore' part of my brain.

Pouty Sparrow for the win!

That wasn't entirely my point, but it amuses me anyway. XD My point was actually more along the lines of... die-hard, hardcore H/D fans are too fanatical to let a little thing like CANON slow them down. They will find a way to MAKE their OTP canon, and they will mow you down in order to do it.

I want an 'ignore' part of my brain... that sounds nifty.
