The lesser crappity.

Turns out is was the hard drive that died, not a virus, so the laptop has been sent off to HP for repair. Which, still in warranty, yay!! Saves me major dollars as cleaning off a virus at Best Buy costs $250. Ugh.

Unfortunately, that means I'm computerless at home, unless I take steps. I can: 1) rent a laptop from the computer tech folks on campus or 2) buy myself a shiny new netbook. I'm thinking netbook, because those things just keep getting cheaper and cheaper. I'm not looking to load it down with tons of games or anything like that. I mainly want it for connectivity to keep up with my online friends and so I've got a backup for my Outlook calendar. That's what I'm going to miss the most if they can't recover data from the hard drive. I've got all my bills scheduled through Outlook to remind me when to pay them, I don't get paper bills in many cases anymore. I'm going to have to be very careful over the next couple of weeks to make sure everyone gets paid on time.

Otherwise, it's been kinda nice being computerless. I actually took time to cook dinner when I got home last night. I caught up on Eureka and NCIS. Tonight will probably be more NCIS and maybe a Lie to Me. So much on my DVR that I've been ignoring! Heck, I might actually get around to finally hooking up my Wii!
