Crappity.

My computer bit the dust last night. I don't know if it was a virus that my virus checker couldn't wrestle into submission or if it's just the fact that between Kaspersky and Windows Vista, the two tangled in a particularly ugly way while Kaspersky was trying to download an update with the virus checker shutting down Windows and Windows promptly saying up yours, I keel you. All I know is I've gone beyond the blue screen of death to the black screen of no operating system and unable to find the disk drive. Joy.

So, don't expect to see me online much, as it's the start of the semester and work is insane. I've barely got time to check my favorite places in the morning for new pic or fic posts, much less interact with people.

I haven't decided where to take the damn thing, yet. We have computer help folks on campus (2 hours free when it's caused by a virus), but I have to get the damn thing there when this place is overrun by locusts students. I feel like yelling, "cover me, I'm going in!" every time I go outside the building.

Guess this will be a good time to catch up on all my Netflix goodies and stuff hanging on my DVR. Oooh, Lie to Me, Eureka. This could actually be fun.

computer, work
