Human nature is a funny thing... We see ourselves as in-tune with the world around us, but have we ever stopped to ask ourselves if this is true? This arbitrary ideal that most people have is a sign that...
Well, never mind that. No one likes to read this kind of thinking. People only live for the comforting, or the entertaining, so that is all I shall give you. Just remember as Ella Wheeler Wilcox once wrote: Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, an you weep alone
Thursday was a good day. I woke up extra early and made it to my Japanese class with time to spare, a first in a really long time. Results of the test were not posted yet, so we just had to wait till Tuesday for those. We ended up learning conjugations for formal and informal adjectives and then a few new verbs and how to ask people about the weather. It seems weather is one of the main topics people usually talk about because it is one of the most basic forms of small talk. Class ends and I start reading a little of Zarathustra, which so far is pretty interesting. It was a warm sunny day, but no wind was blowing so it was cozy enough to sit outside on a picnic table. The sun felt good on my back and I'm sure the sun felt good about me enjoying it. "You great star, what would your happiness be had you not those for whom you shine?" I met my philosophy teacher out there and we talked of philosophical things. He said that he was happy that there were some thinkers in his class and that he was happy that I was reading Nietzsche. We then walked to class and we talked about some things and then we had a quiz, but the quiz was just a very simple test of whether or not you had read the text, and even if you hadn't read it, you still would have been able to solve the puzzle. Only two other students and I could do it, so he quickly dismissed everyone and said that we were not going to finish the dialogues and that we were just going to start fresh on something else on Tuesday since no one had read this one. I ended up getting a special assignment essay from the teacher and in most cases I would see this as a bad thing, but I actually like to write for this class, because it is just about my thoughts and the way I analyze things, and nothing to do with forced writing styles. I went home around 3:00-ish and went to work on the essay and ended up finishing around 8:00. I felt very accomplished. I'll have to see what he says about my paper later in the week.
Today, Joey came over after his class and we just goofed around for most of the time. We went and ate at China Buffet and then went back to my house and played some DDR which was real tiring. Then we played some old Super Nintendo roms and a few arcade games. Hopefully tomorrow will at least be half as good as today.
In other news, I went back to taking my 1000mg dosage of depakote.
