Peek into my head

I'm a person who is obsessed with creating. It's the only way for me to express my thoughts and feelings to the world. My state of mind often have huge impact on my end results. At the moment, I don't really know what kind of state I am in, maybe somewhat of a chaos or whatever.

Very often, when people commented on my works, be it photography, art or stories, I was told that I have a vivid imagination and a lot of creativity. I recycled old themes over and over but kept adding twist to them. I turned a simple shoot into something poetic, sultry, sexy, sad, happy, whatever. The feelings I had during the shoot may changed when I looked at the end results. As the pictures might conveyed a different feel or message to me when I had the time to sit down and spend time with them alone.

Other than having a vivid imagination, I create from inspirations. This is especially true for my stories. All my fanfictions were written based on inspirations from songs, movies, drama and my own experience. And below is one of them, that inspired my recently posted fic Sanctuary.

I understand it's in Mandarin and most of my readers cannot understand what the lyrics were saying, but watching the MV alone I believe, is enough to tell the story.

I've been wanting to write this scene since five years ago. However, no matter how much I tried, I just couldn't get the words to cooperate with each other to form something as serene as the song. It was so frustrating at that time. Then I started to step into another realm of creation and had been away from fandom since. Now I returned, and I attempted this again as a warm-up for my multi-chapter series.

I spent hours in front of my laptop, keyboard smashing all the way. Write, delete, write again, delete, think think think, write and delete again. This processed went on for a couple of hours before I finally punched in the last line for that fic. I have to admit I was kind of stuck when I got to the middle, and suddenly I couldn't finish the story. I read and re-read the story over again, playing that song and just followed what my mind told me and I got it.

Long-winded whenever I'm talking to myself, but feels good to let it out, and basically another cheap excuse to do more keyboard smashing. Hah.
