There's a boy reading a comic book in the Nexus - maybe one of the wandering super heroes will be able to make out the shadowy figure taunting the off-page heroes if they're good at that - and he looked perticually grumpy

"It's all because of massive egos," Faye comments, amused by the thought.

"After getting cut down time and time again, they should learn to stuff the ego and get their job done first."

"Sure." She shrugs. "A lot of the hero types already have the idea not to gloat."

"Well yeah, but why do they and not the villains?"

[alternate_faye]

"Probably because they just don't think rubbing it in when the enemy's beaten or something. Pretty sure there's exceptions..."

The boy gave the lady look. "You're not very imaginative, are you?"

[alternate_faye]

"Whatever. Did you want a really long-winded reply or something?" She was going to mention villains having insecurities, but...

"I want something that doesn't sound stupid."

[alternate_faye]

She just scowls and proceeds to ignore him.

Unless that ignoring meant walking away also, he's going to attempt to grab her hair. Yeah, he's a brat, why do you ask?

Turns out she walks off just as he reaches out. He almost got her.
