Another mech arrives in the Nexus, carefully folding its -- his? -- fifty-foot frame into the lotus position next to a nearby clump of Couches. Turquoise optic-band glowing faintly, he cocks his head to one side ( Read more... )

"I'm pretty dab at it," says a youthful female voice as a sixteen foot orange-red femme that looks like a hybrid between a movie mech and a Minicon looks up from the couch she was poking around inside, her yellow optics bright with assessing curiosity. Behind her, a slightly taller mech looks over with mild dark optics, then folds his skinny form into an oversized couch as though hiding from the newcomer.

Smallish frame, there. Eh, still believable ... full-scale isn't always practical.

"Good thing to know! I'll have to remember to look for your signature if a situation happens to come up."

She tilts her head, totally unfazed by his size as she scans him to find what exactly he is. "I's usually 'round here somewhere, if I ain't fer takin' care 'o t' boss, b'y. Me name's Hormah." A thumb over her shoulder toward the couchbot. "'At's Scarecrow."

Don't let her being called 'destruction' put you off.

"Noted. These days, I'm usually called Rigel."

At best the scan turns up lifesigns and no trace of organic components. Rigel's internals come up as 'unanalyzable', his core completely shielded. Nothing looking Cybertronian, however.

Considers the question. "I've seen worlds suffocate themselves through selfishness and greed. If my home world of Glee Anselm were to suffer the same fate, I would have to question the will of nature and then if I could find a way to save it, then I would give everything within my power to keep her alive. Even if it meant sacrificing myself in the process."

"Would nature be a driving force behind developments such as selfishness and greed? Or would a world's inhabitants be a better choice for laying the blame for these things?"

"Though I may be misunderstanding. That happens with annoying frequency."

There's a bit of a pause.

"Self-sacrifice I understand all too much. Would you sacrifice others?"

Although this fellow could outwardly almost pass for human - if one ignored the eye color and the odd facial markings - scans would reveal him to be completely mechanical.

"World I came from's not really 'mine', so there's not a whole lot I'd do to fix the place up unless there's a big change in management first. Let 'em run themselves into the ground, as long as my kind get out of there first."

"I know a place to get repairs around here, yeah." If you can be trusted seems to be the unspoken addition to that.

Well now, such a bitter little one. That's a shame, it truly is. Rigel leans over just a bit to address the new arrival.

"That's not a particularly pleasant, or constructive, outlook to have."

"Really? Then you tell me why I should care about a place my folks had to flee to avoid getting butchered by the people in charge?"

It's going to take more than what's being said to rile up Rigel. Nevertheless, a few things can stand addressing and he does so promptly.

"Ah, but you never mentioned any such thing when you expressed your rather negative outlook. I'm not a mind-reader."

Rigel's tone is mild.

"And maybe, just maybe, there's the consideration that the entire world doesn't necessarily have the outlook of the people in charge. Bitterness doesn't solve anything."

Umm not much; I'd just go out and conquer a new one if I absoulutely had to. *well not quite; Kickback just want's to see what reaction he'd get*

Bombshell's good at fixing stuff or if it's minor I could do it. *he doesn't seem that bothered by it all*

If anything, Rigel's posture seems to indicate a great deal of amusement.

"Conquer, would you? And how would you do that?"

*Kickback just grins*

Depends on who I wish to conquer. I can be subtle and subvert the place to my own ends. Or wipe them all out; depends on their level of technological advancement.
