“Using a Nexus portal to travel to ancient Rome to get information for a school report: cheating or diligently studious?”

"I'd c-call it 'using y-your resources.'"

"I like that description. Thank you."

She doesn't remember him stammering before. "Is everything okay?"

"Y-you're welcome."

That's because he didn't before! "Y-yes." He smiles. It'll stop eventually.

Pretending to believe everything is fine is good idea.

"I haven't seen you in a long time. Catch me up on what you've been up to? Hmm. Are you hungry? We could talk over dinner."

"I think that's a great idea! It would certainly make for an interesting report because you got to see it up close I think," Yukari, Ruby perched on her head once again, said as Nyamo came by and stood next to her.

"I don't know, it would seem that it could be unfair to the other students since they don't have that option, Yukari." Yukari looks at Nyamo like she's absolutely bonkers while Ruby decides to pounce off her head and run to Aya. She hasn't forgotten the sushi.

"I thought so too. My history teacher has very high expectations. I want to write something that makes him feel he was in Rome too."

She frowns. "I hadn't thought of that. It would be kind of unfair."

She brightens as Ruby runs over and reaches out to pet the cute Pokemon.

"Aw, but come one, it would be fun! You get to see what it was really like and everything! Besides, books never really tell you everything anyway," Yukari smirks over at Nyamo, believing her point to be incredibly stronger.

"Exactly," Nyamo glares in Yukari's direction as she begins her argument, "assignments are given to see what a student can do with the information available to both them and other students and see how creative and interesting they can be."

Ruby is always up for petting! Petting is good.

"I've done the books part of the research project. My report would be good if I turned it in as it is.

"But going to Rome would be fun! And not all students ever have access to the same resources. Some students have more books or more databases."

I'd call it "going the extra mile."

"Thank you, Schuldig." She'll probably go now. Schudig has stopped her from going enough stupid things in the past that she thinks if something has his approval, it must be okay.

"Schuldig. H-have you spoken to Farfarello recently?" She doesn't want to be the one to tell him, but he has the right to know.

Be careful, though. It wasn't exactly safe as Disneyland back then.

He broke up with me recently, so yeah we have. Apparently he's cutting ties with everybody he used to let himself care about. Since he's also saying that if we try to talk with him again he'll hurt us, I have very little urge to bother talking again.

She feels guilt over some many things she can't trace them all back to the origin.

She doesn't want to talk about Farfarello anymore. But she is going to try to sneak giving Schuldig a hug.

"I'll be careful in Rome. I've done lots of research, so I know to dress and act. At least, I think so. And I keep a PINpoint on me at all times.

"I'm a little scared about how people might react to my being obviously foreign. But it could work to my advantage in that if I do something weird, they'll think it because I'm from a different place, not a different time."

Gargoyle Kakyoin: Diligently studious. No doubt.

She smiles and bows.

"Thank you. And it will be fun too."

Gargoyle Kakyoin: Aw, no need for thanks. I didn't do anything. You should be careful, though. The Romans might not like a time-traveler running around.

"I will keep a PINpoint close at hand. And I think they will more likely think me an ignorant foreigner rather than a time traveler."

"It might not work as well as you'd think. There's things about ancient Rome we don't know, and probably details we've gotten wrong. If your teacher knows a lot about ancient Rome, or you include many of these details, he or she might think you made it up. Your bibliography would also be suspiciously short. On the other hand, if you've already done the research and know your background, it might help you fit it all together to see it in action."

"I'd thought of that." She smiles brightly, happy to have some one else who thought about it too. "I've done enough research to make a good regular research paper, but I wanted do something to make the paper great.

"And I'm a little bored."

"Very well, then. I would make sure someone knows where you are going, or goes with you. A lot of the past can be pretty unfriendly to a stranger."

"And a lot of the present too. That is good advice."
