"Welllll..." Irvine tries not to grin a little at the defensive tone. "If he's not going to drop the whole thing on his own, and you can't wait for him to come to his senses on his own, the only option really is to tell him that it's not a big deal. At least you shouldn't have to be specific."
You say it doesn't mean anything to you and that you just want to get back to normal. You don't use any insults like "moron." You don't take him aside to talk to him unless you really do intend to tell him that instead of chickening out with a "Never mind" or "You're a moron."
"Well, I think if you don't treat it like a big deal then that'd go a long way. If you get all nervous or moreclosed off then it'd just make things worse."
"Onii-" Ginta blinked and cut himself off, surprised at the fact that he'd almost adressed Aya-san as one would a brother. He felt the overwhelming urge to hid behind bangs that were not there out of the resulting embarrassment. He shook his head to get rid of all these strange impulses. "Um, Fujimiya-san... you know how Aya-chan's soul was kind of shoved out during the ritual? We, um, we've found it."
He is prepared to tell Ginta that although he is his sister's boyfriend, it will never be appropriate for Ginta to refer to him as a brother. When Ginta shakes his head, he watches Ginta with concern.
This may be the first time Ginta has ever seen him smile. He reaches out to grab Ginta by the shoulders.
There is a large part of Ginta that is very nervous about telling Aya-san were the soul is. There is another newer influence that is very calmed and cheered by the smile and the contact.
"Well, see... it's kind of already been recovered, if not restored to her directly. It's, um..." He ducks his head to compensate for the fact that, again, there are no bangs to hide behind. "...I'm carrying it. Inside me."
He blinks in mute confusion. What Ginta is telling him frightens him, so covers it anger.
Aya is not the type of person to ask 'What?' when he has heard something clearly. And another question seems more pressing. "How do we get it back where it belongs?" he demands.

"I'm not offended. It's not as though it means anything."

Which doesn't mean the advice wouldn't seep into his brain anyway.

Ah. "Occasionally giving people useful advice must soften people for when you decide to play with them."
