What is one to do when those that you work with tend to exhibit at times all the maturity of a child?

Breathe deeply. Breathe deeply. And not maiming them would help, also, I suppose.

*nods*

Indeed. And perhaps investigating ways to limit their access to sake.

And maybe start drinking it ourselves. From what I heard, Shunsui has arrived here. May Kami have mercy.

But because he's a sadistic bastard, he probably won't have any mercy.

*blinks a bit at that, not quite sure whether or not to be worried*

Has he? I certainly haven't seen him...

"Enjoy the insanity. There isn't really much else one can do."

It is rather difficult to enjoy such 'insanity' when there is work to be done that it only serves to make harder.

*Cocks her head in puzzlement. She sees this person's name, but their lifespan reads at zero.*

Um, offer them candy if they'll do what you want them to?

*notes her puzzled look*

I somehow doubt that would be very effective...

Is something the matter, miss?

Oh, no, everything's fine! It's not like Misa spotted anything unusual about you at all!

*blinks, taking a brief moment to interpret that*

...no, I would think not. I am hardly unusual for a shinigami, after all.

"Treat them as such, I would think." He smiles.

Unfortunately, that seems to serve only to encourage them, at times.

"Ah.. perhaps just ignoring them would be best? And threats of giving them even more work if they don't get to it right that moment?" He laughs a bit. "I'm sorry, I have never had this problem. It must be hard."

Ignoring would mean leaving them to their own devices, which tend to be far from productive. And I am hardly in a position to assign my captain more work, even without the fact that he leaves it to pile up enough as it is.

*tiny voice comes from down about ankle height*

O_O; Who do you mean, Assistant captain? O.o;;;;;;

*blinks, looks down, then crouches to be a bit more on speaking level*

...I am guessing that you have had an encounter with some of the more peculiar phenomena of this place?

And my captain, to begin with. *sighs a bit* Though certainly no one that you would need to worry about, I should think.

This place is terrible! ;_; *flails*

Oh... good, you didn't mean m- Oh! Um! I see. Well... Captain Shunsui isn't all bad? O_O;;;;

It certainly can be at times. However, the effect should wear off within a few days, at least.

*sighs a little* No, no he's not. I simply wish that he would act a bit more responsibly when it comes to his work, at times.
