There's a merchant of some sort in the Nexus, setting up a table of fine jewelry and beautiful knives. There's a few swords, kept slightly back- those he'd only ever sell to someone he finds worthy.

He's plain, middling height, and his tunic and leggings are burn-marked, scarred leather. He does look strong, but where his muscles might be a little

Yukio is slightly torn. He really wants to go get a closer look at the pretty shiny weapons. But the word 'mage' is a major warn-off for him. So he kind of hovers at a safe distance, looking at the knives longingly.

Aric smiles encouragingly at the boy. "I don't bite, I assure you."

He steps a little bit closer, but still watches Aric warily. "You don't look like a mage. Not the sorta mages I know."

To magical senses, Yukio is clearly not human, by the way.

"I'm a smith mage. We tend to be a little sturdier than most." He chuckles.

He can sense the inhumanity, but it doesn't bother him. He's traded with angels and demons before and has no quarrel with either, as long as they don't cheat.

"What would you like to look at? I'm sure I've got something to interest you."

A rather battered looking Ryu approaches the table. He has numerous bruises over the visible parts of his body.

"What do you have in the way of general purpose knives?" He asks as he surveys the inventory.

"Entirely unspelled? These knives here are magic-free, but I also have some knives with healing spells, which, if you'll excuse me, sir, it looks like you could use." He offers a knife for Ryu to inspect.

"I was thinking something like a knife which keeps its edge, actually."
He waves away the healing knife.
"I'll be fine."

"Ahhh! What sort of smith mage would I be if I didn't have those?" A plain knife with a blue pommelstone is held up next.

"Guaranteed to stay sharp for the next five hundred years. If it dulls, track me down and get a new one!"

Nagi wanders over to look. He's not sure that he'll want anything for himself, but he knows a few people who like weapons...

"Hello."

He smiled. "Hello. Can I help you find something today?"

"Maybe. I'm interested in knives right now, but I don't have anything specific in mind."

[aricsfinemetal]

"Well, these knives here are excellent for the discerning young gentleman. A spell for healing and a spell to deflect bad luck, twined together in one. And it cuts like a dream, as well."

He holds up a plain dagger, the only ornament the deep purple pommel stone.

She smiles down at the man (currently standing at 9 feet thanks to the Daleks, almost everyone's down for her). "I do need a new sword, but I might be too big right now to test them effectively. And oooh, jewelry..."

((Is there any jewelry with red stones?))

"Ahh, jewelry." He waves a hand over the display, the jewels shimmering as he passes over them. There are, indeed, quite a few with red stones, rings, necklaces, earrings, brooches, and bracelets.

"Does anything catch your eye? I'm sure we can find something to suit a beautiful woman such as yourself."

She laughs softly. "All of it." She kneels down nearby so she's not quite so freakishly tall, picking up a few pieces with exaggerated care. "They're very fine. Did you make them all yourself?"

"Oh, yes. My apprentices are, unfortunately, more skilled in the arts of making things that destroy other things rather than making things that beautify." A little wistful? Yes.

"If you'd like to know about the charms and spells on them, please ask."

The large man approaches cautiously, holding his infant daughter high against his shoulder where she is unable to reach any of the enticingly shiny adornments and weapons.

He looks over the assortment, searching for bold colors and intricate shapes similar to the aesthetic he was raised with.

Some of the knife sheathes are enamelled with such patterns, and there's a few items of jewelry as well.

"Anything I can help you find, sir?"

"Hm. Are all your items magical?"

[aricsfinemetal]

"Not all of them, but as I am a smith mage, I do tend towards the arcane. However, I have most of the designs you see here in an unmagical form as well."
