There's a merchant of some sort in the Nexus, setting up a table of fine jewelry and beautiful knives. There's a few swords, kept slightly back- those he'd only ever sell to someone he finds worthy.

He's plain, middling height, and his tunic and leggings are burn-marked, scarred leather. He does look strong, but where his muscles might be a little

The large man approaches cautiously, holding his infant daughter high against his shoulder where she is unable to reach any of the enticingly shiny adornments and weapons.

He looks over the assortment, searching for bold colors and intricate shapes similar to the aesthetic he was raised with.

Some of the knife sheathes are enamelled with such patterns, and there's a few items of jewelry as well.

"Anything I can help you find, sir?"

"Hm. Are all your items magical?"

[aricsfinemetal]

"Not all of them, but as I am a smith mage, I do tend towards the arcane. However, I have most of the designs you see here in an unmagical form as well."

"I have little use for magic things myself, and would not know what would suit other people."

He points to a hair ornament with a cat motif. "Do you have one like that without magic?"

"I believe so." He rummages in one of his boxes and pulls one out.

"Two silver coins. Or something that could possibly be the equivalent of that." Aric's really having trouble with the currency in the Nexus.

He produces a large gold coin from an inner pocket of his jacket.

"I'll be getting more than that, just tell me when I need to add another coin."

He selects a brooch involving gold and red amber, a silver one with delicate complex intertwining curves, and a silver ring-brooch with a bold interlocking design. "Those definitely."

He continues looking over the items on display.

Aric watches his selections. "Would you like those unspelled as well?"

"Yes, if that is possible. Do you have any non-magical belt buckles?"

[aricsfinemetal]

"Belt buckles? A few." He pulls out a tray from under the table.

He chooses an ornate silver one with no gemstones. "I think that will be all. There are regrettably few people I would give gifts to."

"Ah, me as well. My position does not lend itself to personal attachments. I believe that you will get three silver in change for the gold." He opens his money pouch and takes out the change.

"Hello Grey!" Kneeling as she is, she looks about the same height as before, but she's much bigger now.

He raises a curious eyebrow. "Hello Ali."

[vicioussweetie]

"I got bigger." She stands up with a grin. "Nearly your height now."

[greyfireson]

He smiles and shakes his head. "No, in fact you are taller than me right now. How did this come about?"
