Well, it wasn't read to me, but I used to love it when they'd tell the stories of Homer when I was growing up.

My favorite form of art? Probably sculpture. I like painting and literature as well, but sculpture just captures something more, to me.

"Homer... you mean the Iliad and the Odyssey?"

Indeed, although there were many other tales than those told when I was young. We used to have traveling storytellers come to the temple all the time. We'd let them stay with us until they were ready to move on in return for them teaching the old tales to the acolytes.

I've always liked the look of watercolours, especially the really light stuff. Art involving metal and leatherwork can be pretty interesting too.

"Leatherworking wouldn't be an option, but stuff with metal could be fun... I'll have to find out the details of the class."

*nods* So, what other kinds of things are available to you?

"Different kinds of art, like painting and drawing, theater, music, photography. Stuff like that."

Painting. More specifically, oils, but acrylics are all right. Watercolors are nice to look at, but they're most definitely not my medium.

"Why do you like painting so much? What makes it your favorite?"

I like playing with color and shadow, the variations you can get by varying the thickness of the paint, the feel of different brushes against canvas... It's kinda hard to put into words.

"But it sounds kinda neat. I have to pick a fine art for school, and it seems that ikebana doesn't count, despite how complex is it."

"It wasn't a book, but the Legend of Zelda made interesting reading when I couldn't. And easy. Music."

[orchidsblood]

"Music in general or a specific instrument?"

[canadianninja]

"For it to be a fine art, it's typically got to be something classical. Least that was the way it was when I was in school."

[orchidsblood]

"Well, there's music appreciation, and there's actually performing. I'd probably go with appreciation just because it's been years since I last took any sort of music class."
