Summary: It's soon time for Sean's birthday.

1. - Garden

Spring was coming, the sun having chased the remaining snow away, and in some corners of their garden, small flowers dared to come up.

Orlando stood at their back door, which led out to their garden. He held Alisa across his shoulder. "Do you think we will be able to sit outside on your birthday?" Orlando asked Sean.

Sean walked over to stand behind them before he answered, "If it continues like this, it looks like a possibility. Do you think we should have the party in the garden?"

"Why do you need to ask when you know that I like to be outside, and if it stays like this, it won't be too cold for Alisa either. I think it would feel so cramped if we can't be outside when everybody comes." Orlando turned to face his fiancé.

"Then we all have to wish for it be as we want and we can be outside." Sean said and stroke Alisa over her small head.

2. Pie
As the days drew closer to Sean's birthday, the weather continued to be warmer, and it looked like they would be able to have their party outside. At dinner, Orlando talked about what they should be serving. Sean had not given it a thought, and was pleased that Orlando was the one who always thought of the practical things.

"I think if we could have it outside, we could serve something that is easy and doesn't need to be checked every minute, so what do you say to some pie?"

"What sort of pie? Shepherd's pie or apple pie?" Sean asked.

"No, not a dessert pie. I had thought a more solid meal…" Orlando grew silent to think. "Shepherd's pie would most likely need to be warm, but if we make them small and then have them cooked, we will only need to warm them, so it might work."

"If you think we can manage, we can do it." Sean smiled. He knew that he would be the one that made the dinner. Orlando was great at putting a menu together, but cooking he could have been better at.

Orlando still tried to consider what they could serve, "What would you say if for dessert, we have a cake or something?"

Sean nodded. He knew that they needed to decide what to serve, so he tried to help Orlando figure it out.

3. Fruit
Sean pushed the shopping trolley forward and Orlando pushed Alisa's pushchair.

Sean stopped and turned towards Orlando, "What fruits shall we have in the fruit salad?"

"Take a little of everything, like apples, oranges, kiwi, pears, bananas, grapes and whatever else you can think of." Orlando replied.

Orlando went on a little further to the opposite end where the vegetables were. He started to pick some.

The shopping went well and they found all they wanted to have for their dinner. Alisa had been sleeping most of the time.

Back at home, Sean began preparing the pies, and Orlando took care of Alisa when she woke up and it was time for her to eat. After she had burped, Orlando came and asked Sean if there was anything he could do to help. Sean told him that he done most of it already and all there was left to do was to check the time for the pies in the oven, and the day's dinner.

Orlando let Sean take Alisa and took over what was left. Sean liked to play with Alisa and not long after, he made her to smile.

"Can you smile as well tomorrow? You will make daddy extra happy," Sean said to his daughter. Alisa answered with another big smile.

4. Football
Alisa was asleep in her crib and they could finally sit down for some time to themselves. Orlando had crept closer on the couch to Sean, who held his arm around Orlando's shoulders. The TV was on, with the sound muted so as not to wake their daughter, and so they could hear if she woke up.

"What do you think they will say about our engagement?" Orlando asked, but didn't expect that Sean would reply at once because they were watching a football match between Sheffield United and Arsenal*.

"Mmm… damn… What did you say?"

Orlando smiled, Sean was engrossed in the match, as usual as he watched football.

"I wondered what reaction our families would have about the coming wedding."

Sean pulled Orlando towards his chest. "Hopefully they will be as happy as we are." Sean followed the match for a few more minutes before he continued, "I hope you have not changed your mind."

"Oh no, absolutely not. But sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't."

It was almost twenty minutes later when Sean reacted to what Orlando had said. Then he found it easier to concentrate as the first half was over.

"Why do you wonder if you should change your mind? Don't you love me?"

"Seanie, I was joking and only because there are things that take up your mind more than me."

Sean pushed Orlando away so he could see his face, "Like what? You are always in my thoughts and now also together with Alisa."

With sparking eyes Orlando said, "Are you sure? It certainly felt like you were very into the match for a while."

Sean gave Orlando a smile, "Like you can't be?" He leaned forward and captured Orlando's lips. "Though tomorrow, it's no football at all for us."

"Yes, you old man."

"What did you call me?" Sean started to tickle Orlando soon, they both lay laughing on the couch.

*I have no idea if the team's play in the same league.

5. Tea

When the second half began, they were still kissing each other on the couch, and everything around them was the least of their priorities.

Orlando, lying under Sean, suddenly stiffened, "What was that?"

Sean raised himself up on his arms and turned to the TV, "It's looked like Arsenal scored a goal."

"No, it was another sound. Let me up so I can go check Alisa."

Sean rose and pulled Orlando up. He didn't sit down again, "I will make us some tea."

When Sean came back with the tray, he asked if Alisa had woken up.

"She probably just turned around and made a sound before she continued to sleep," Orlando answered.

"Then it is all good."

"There is nothing like a cup of tea to calm the nerves," Orlando said and patted the place beside him in the couch. "Are we ready for tomorrow?"

Sean sat down and gave one cup to Orlando before he took his own and answered.

"Absolutely, my love. I love you, Orlando."
