Ok so I'm finally on my holiday, I have made a daring escape from the clutches of horrible Basque weather and small towns where there is nothing to do but drink more than a healthy ammount of wine and have made it to the first step of my journey, Madrid ( Read more... )

Ooh, I am so jealous!

I recently found out that the daughter of a friend of mind is off somewhere teaching English. I know she was in Japan for awhile, I'm not sure if she is back there again or someplace else. Her family lived there for awhile when she was younger and the entire family feels an affinity to Japan.

H and I have talked about a possible vacation to Italy, but that will have to wait at least a year if not longer. Both of us have stuff to sort out in our personal lives.

I still have dreams of doing nanowrimo in the South of Italy some year.

Sounds like it's been a lot of fun. I haven't seen Avengers yet. Waiting for the roomie to be get out of the hospital in a day or so to see it.

I want to see Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter too. :)

Oh boy, Paella (sorry, I think with my stomach a great deal of the time). I'd love to try that someday, but given half the ingredients are seafood that doesn't live around Australia, I think I'll have to go to it rather than wait for it to come to me.

Sounds like a really nice time though.

You can have it with chicken! Paella Valencia or something like that. Very tasty.

Yeah you do don't you :P?

Ari is right, not being a seafood girl myself that's usually what I tend to get. This time I had a vegetarian version. I used to make it myself in this big wok at uni then stuff people's faces... I must have the recipe SOMEWHERE

I think my favourite Avengers moment was during the big fight at the end with Hulk and Thor. They've just taken down the big thing and are standing victorious! And then Hulk smacks Thor sideways because she's run out of things to punch.
