When fear comes knocking and grips your heart, what do you do?
Do you think about it a lot and let it fester and manifest?
Do you talk about it so much, to your friends and family, that the actual fear is diluted?
Do you hide it in the closet and look at it in its face only when the need arises?
I'm sure anyone will have a theoretical answer to this question, but when things really happen and fear whacks you out of the blue, I do believe the natural reaction may differ from the theoretical one. Because we're only human.
Ee Irene is going through her operation as this post is being written. I do pray for the surgical team for steady hands and an alert mind, and for a positive mindset for ee Irene. It's so crucial for her to truly believe that she will recover fully, because recovery is not just about the physical act of performing a healing act on the body, it's also mental, your mindset. Being with her this whole week proved otherwise, but we will all have to continue to stay positive around her and offset the fear that she has allowed to fester and snowball.
I am thankful for the family support for her. It is so heartwarming. The love I'm feeling from it all, reminds me once more, how meaningful life is.
