Isn't Kinda Sad?

Isn't strange how much less there is too talk about when things are going great? Like - when things are miserable and crappy, we have like 8 million things to say - this sucks, and that sucks - and man did he ever piss me off - and I am worried about that other thing. But when things are going great, we got nuthin ( Read more... )

When I was in my teens/late teens/early 20s, I used to write a lot of poetry. It was that usual angst-ridden stuff too. I read it now and I think "god, what a pathetic whiner." There are times I wonder why I don't write any more and I remember it's because I'm too busy actually busy living life instead of sitting at home bemoaning my unrequited love. :)

Heck, browsing my Netflix Queue is more entertaining than the thought of composing love-sick poetry these days. But as far as posting happy poetry, I can't imagine how everyone would appreciate a "lalala yes I still have a headache that makes me want to poke my eyes out but I still love to play makeup and dressup and giggle about ninjas and pirates and teleportation and eat good food with friends and get back tickles from nice husbands yay lalalala" type poem. ::snicker:: If only I were clever enough to think of haikus like jakethras and disoculated!

Though I'm with wendelina2 (<3), I try not to angst and whine in my LJ more than I post regular news or happy stuff too.

Short, little, happy posts once in awhile are good enough for most of us who love ya, Mr. Pup. :* :)

Good news is definitely _always_ appreciated, especially when I'm on the opposite coast, and don't get to hear about the day-to-day happiness quotient of people.

If all I did was go by some of my friends' LJ's, I'd probably be flying ot make sure they were okay.

And, yeah, leesalogic, going out and living is way better than whining (be it in LJ or poetry or any manner of ways) about how no one loves you.

Because, duh, that's so untrue. Everyone loves you!

::hugs::
