I wasn't going to renew my subscription to the Glimmer Train literary magazine (because I subscribed as a requirement for a class I'm no longer in), but I'm not sure I can not do so when I get a renewal notice as amazingly nice as this in my email inbox.
Hi Sarah,
We’ve just sent out your final issue, and I wonder if you’d like to renew? Our next issue will be Spring 2009, out in February. I’d be happy to do it on a bill-me basis, if you’d like. It’s still $36 for the year.
I hope you’re set to have a nice holiday next week there in St. Mary’s City!
Our best,
Susan
I do feel a bit better now; thanks to all those who sent well-wishes and amusing distractions. It's been a tough week in general, and a tough semester all around, but I'm getting by. I only have two main concerns at the moment: making sure all my friends are okay, and finishing the handful of work I still have to do before I go home on Tuesday for break. I'm thinking of staying at home an extra day this time, coming back to school on Monday morning instead of Sunday afternoon. I don't do anything until the evening on Mondays, and I need the space right now. My mom actually suggested it, and I've been really homesick this semester because I didn't go home for fall break, so it's sounding like a great idea to me.
Be well, everybody!
Sarah
P.S. My "current music" is totally a coincidence; it just came on as I was getting ready to post this. I swear, my Pandora playlist knows me better than I know myself. ;)
