Got my files backed up, fiddled about with the BIOS and my machine loads up. Good enough.
No idea why crazy death crash occurred and therefore I have no reason to assume it won't again, so, uh, yeah. Crossing my fingers on this, using the machine anyway and now officially demoting it to "second fiddle" level concern.
New top concern: my current anxiety about going to the hospital on Wednesday for a small operation on my index finger. I promise I will shut up about this soon, it's just been kind of an epic deal, this hand injury from last year. But if anybody has any happy thoughts, think them my way on Wednesday? Just, you know, in case.
