Official poem for commemorating you.
Always and Forever
Everyone says that it gets better with time,
that grief will gradually subside.
However hard that it may be,
I must let you be free.
It’s always too soon to say good-bye,
The feelings of loss still agonize--
it’s always going to be unfair,
There will always be feelings of despair.
How can anyone else compare?
For you’re the one that I will always care about, you’re the one I will always love.
The tears still involuntarily continue to gather,
For I am missing you, my dearest father.
But I need to continue to see things through
and to continue all anew,
continue in your vision, and in your way,
to make the best of myself---and not only think of yesterday.
In that way your spirit lives on, and you’ll always be here.
I will have nothing to fear
Because you have never left.
For you are always cherished and kept--
Here with me, in my thoughts, in my dreams, and in my heart
Never are we apart,
for you’re here with me
Always and forever mine.
