Round 2

Jul 31, 2006 17:16

demondog's vet wants to do another round of surgery. This time they will actually do exploratory surgery and a bacterial culture for a mere $925 fee. It would have been nice to have been told before the first surgery that none of this would be taking place. It most certainly would have changed my decision to go ahead with the biopsy ( Read more... )

Do you have pet insurance? We have to submit a bunch
of stuff for Rincewind's bills. Luckily, he doesn't
actually seem to have any sort of verifiable condition
that could be considered pre-existing, so we're hoping
we can get some money back.

Dr Roy Smith in Round Rock only treats cats, but he
might have a good recommendation for you.

Awesome, thank you!

One of these days we'll have to figure out a way to get you two together. I bet you'd love him.

Ours has taken great care of Chiclet on several occasions (particularly during her recent leg surgery). May be a bit North for you, but I can recommend Dr. Dudley at the animal hospital at Metric & Parmer.

Merci!

I'm cool with the north-bound travel. It's not too far to drive, really.

Jessica has a vet she swears by. I'd give her a call.

Don't know if she told you about the double charging with Wiley on his heartworm stuff in SA, but she will given half the chance.

I already called her vet. They're not accepting new patients. :(

I don't know that I've heard about the double charging bit, sounds like a real pain in the ass.

We had a lot of luck with the Brykerwoods Veterinary Clinic. It's right off 35th St.

i'm not sure what is up with demondog - but bailey got spectacular care at a&m and it was loads less expensive than my regular vet here in austin. they have the best vets in texas there - and more specialists than you can shake a stick at. i just can't say enough good things about them.
