In case anyone is wondering: fully clothed, and holding a paperback book, I weigh 141 pounds.

The doctor is reducing the frequency of the PET scans to once a year. That means the following year will have 50% less bitching from me about having to follow a low carb diet for a day!

I say it every time I have a PET scan, and I probably will every time I have one again, but damn, a low carb diet is awful. It's over for now, at least. So yay!

I also got some blood drawn, so I have a needle mark on each arm. I'm not looking forward to taking that tape off.

Today was the third anniversary of my last day of chemo.

This is awesome, mainly for that line. Chemo is destroying everything!

So, the otolaryngologist (yay for fancy new words!) said my tonsils looked fine, but given my history, it might be a good idea to have them removed. So we'll see what the oncologist says. Blah.

I'll be in Stockton tomorrow for yet another doctor appointment. You may recall that when I got the PET scan, there was some concern about my tonsils, so I'm seeing an ear, nose and throat doc tomorrow. I should be back Friday sometime ( Read more... )

Tomorrow, yet another PET scan (check out the animated gif in the link). Previously, I have had to do the low carb diet for three days prior to the test, but now it's only for one day. It's still annoying, but it is a definite improvement ( Read more... )
