My day thus far:
+ Wrote important emails
- Have yet to receive any responses to said emails, where time is VERY much a factor on one of them
+ Watched more Farscape, in particular 'Out of Their Minds' and WEPT with joy
- Watched more Farscape, in particular 'Out of Their Minds,' and WEPT with sorrow for all that might have been with SPN
+ Was spot on time to Intro today
- Intro was full of rude, inconsiderate students and there's only so much I can do about it
+ Ate the rest of my toffee from cristin_terrill and IT WAS DELICIOUS
- Ate so many sweets that I felt like a terrible person
+ Remembered that my hero and BF4EVA Stephen Fry eats a lot of sweets. Felt better.
- Did no work on the thesis proper
+ Finished transcribing an interview, so there's only one left to go
- DID NO WORK ON THE THESIS PROPER
+ Watched an episode of iCarly, and gave chash a mental high-five
- DID NO WORK ON THE THESIS PROPER
+ Going to see Orestes: A Tragical Romp tonight at the Folger with emma_elicit!
- NOT GOING TO WORK ON THE THESIS PROPER
It has become increasingly clear that, left to my own devices, I am not going to work on the thesis. I have too many episodes of Babylon 5, Farscape to watch, too many delicious novels that I could be reading. This means that I am going to have to suck it up and plan out a real schedule for writing, as EVERY SINGLE PERSON has told me I need to do. Then, more importantly, I need to stick to it. My schedule this semester is crazily free- I have one class and Intro to attend to, and that's IT outside of the thesis. I am going to keep my EYE ON THE PRIZE. I am going to GIT 'ER DONE. I am going to ROCK OUT WITH MY COCK OUT. It is going to be EPIC LIKE A POEM.
It's always been too easy for me to lose sight of the longterm when there's a busy present to deal with first, but this time, there is no excuse. THAR BE THESISIZING TO DO. Mayhap if I upload my old thesis-writing icons, it will ease the way. WE SHALL SEE.
