Having just spent the morning watching a production of King Lear.... I think I can safely say that it's not a particularly CHEERY way to spend a morning. I watched a video of a production that was at the Folger a few seasons back that I'd missed at the time (and will soon be writing an essay on it for Prof Big Cheese), which is a very distancing ( Read more... )

I sympathize: for some reason I just find Lear really depressing, while I can find Hamlet really sad but still be energized to work on it or think about it.

However, I cannot stop giggling at the fact that you just referred to your professor as "Queso Head."
