Western. Like Midland, Western is another accent that people consider neutral. So, you might not actually be from the Western half of the country, but you definitely sound like it.

Oh, accent memes. Born and bred in Louisiana, people. Generations of Louisianians- unless you talk about my ornery Texan grandfather who came from seven brothers in Kentucky that joined the Civil War calvary and then moved to Texas because they couldn't cope with the loss and one of them became SHERIFF and it's SO TOTALLY 'FIREFLY' AND I LOVE IT. (I only recently learned their story and it's rather fabulous)
I'm one of those people to whom the vast majority of the country doesn't exist. When people tell me they're from Arizona, I scoff- NO ONE ACTUALLY LIVES THERE. Surely. Same with North Dakota or Wyoming. California I'm still iffy on. I mean, I went there once, but I'm not discounting that it could all be a vast mass-illusion. *nods sagely*
