[If you're anywhere near House 26, you may notice a tall redhead pointing a stick at a broom laying on the ground. He's muttering several phrases that don't sound like any recognizable languages, though at times he's so frustrated that he's doing less muttering and more yelling. At various intervals, he'll lower the stick, hold out his other hand,

[How about a passerby flying around on her own broom, looking around and noticing him? It doesn't take Arche long to figure out what he's doing, and she slowly begins to lower herself to the ground just behind him, wondering if he'll A: Succeed, B: Notice her, or C: Just keep trying this until she can spook him from behind.]

[Congratulations, Arche, you've caught Ron when he's in Oblivious Mode. Of course, that's not so hard, considering that's pretty much his default function. He's just trying really hard to get the broom airborne, even going so far as to cast a Levitating Charm on it and growl in frustration when the broom just hovers feebly before clattering back to the ground.]

[It's really kind of disappointing to see that he can't get it to work. As much as she likes being unique, it'd be kind of fun to have another person flying around on a broom like her. But if she can't get that from him she can at least get some entertainment. Lowering herself down right behind him, she leans forward and abruptly speaks up.]

[Ron's gotten a bit soft over his time in Luceti, otherwise he would have been able to notice someone riding a broomstick right behind him or hexed her the moment she spoke up. Instead, he fumbles with his wand as he starts, somehow managing not to drop it as he whirls around to face her. Even as his face turns red, he notices the broom and wonders if she's another witch from his world.]

Merlin, don't do that. I mean, yeah. Yeah, I guess you can say that.

[He points to her broom.] Were you flying that?

[Action]

[She chuckles as he spins around, clearly finding his reaction hilarious... but then again she probably wouldn't have gone to all that trouble to surprise him if she didn't find that sort of thing funny.]

Sorry, sorry, just a little joke. Couldn't resist, you know.

[She nods at his question, beaming.] Pretty obvious, I guess. Yeah, I was wondering if you could pull it off too, but I'm guessing your broom didn't come pre-enchanted, eh?

[Ron looks at her a little suspiciously, not entirely sure how he feels about a practical joker in the midst of everything else he's had to deal with in Luceti.]

This is just a regular broom. I didn't exactly get sucked into this place with my Cleansweep Eleven in hand....

[She just grins at him. Of course, Arche's type of grin probably only ups suspicion...]

Well that'll do it. Hmmm... [She looks down at it, her expression turning thoughtful.] Do you know how they enchant 'em in your world?

[Ron unconsciously takes a step back at her grin before looking down at the broom himself.]

Well, I suspect there's a special charm to levitate and steer it, and there's something in the way they're made. But in a pinch, any wizard should at least be able to get one off the ground, even if the steering's gonna be jerky.

That's not accounting for Luceti itself though. I mean, everyone's powers are weaker here, so that'll include your brand of magic too. [She has, probably for the best, gone over to study mode. Her grin's replaced with a contemplative expression.] Maybe if more than one person helped out?

[He glances up at her, giving her a discerning lookover.]

I take it you're not from the same place as me, then, flying broom notwithstanding?

Can't be. [She points at his hand.] Your magic uses wands, mine doesn't.

[He gives her a vaguely suspicious look, but that's just his natural reaction to new people in this place.]

So what are you, then: a witch or something else?
