I don't usually gripe about real life problems online (complaining usually doesn't help and no one really wants to hear my problems), but my week.....well, this week could have gone a lot better. I had a re-interview for the electrician's apprenticeship on Tuesday, and that had me nervous enough. However, on my way down to the interview, my car started overheating...in the middle of the freeway...I couldn't stop, and I was nearly to the training center, when the engine just died on me. Yep, right there on the off ramp. I was lucky enough for someone to help me push my car out of the road and off to the side. However, at this point, I've only got forty minutes to get to my interview, twenty-five if you count the fifteen minutes early I actually have to arrive. It's too far to walk, but it's close enough that I will fee like a slacker for not trying my darnedest to get there. So, what do I do? I start making calls like crazy. I call the training center, tell them what happened. They say that they can still squeeze me in with the three o' clock group if I can make it, but if not, go ahead, get the car fixed, and bring proof of the break down. I figure I can still make it, so I ask for the number of the closest cab company. Long story short, I made it to the three o' clock interview, thought I did better than the last interview (especially considering the circumstances), and towed the car back home and got it fixed (cracked radiator and dead battery. Fun.) But, but, but! It's not over. I get my ranking back, and I barely moved from where I was before. Arrrrrgggghhhh! I'm wondering if they don't think I'm electrician material. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm electrician material. I think I need to review the situation. *cue this song:

Either way, my nerves feel pretty shot, which is saying something, seeing as how I can usually take stuff like this in stride. I need a break and then I'll regroup.
In other news, I've got some more expressions pictures. These are from a little mini comic I made, based on my fun times in NYC, at....*drumroll* the Discovery Times Harry Potter Exhibit! Yeah, no big surprise there! (one of these days I'll post the full thing with captions)
