Hokai, so
standerbys and
frog_princess got here yesterday and we have had tons of fun so far.
standerbys has requested that we document each meal, so here goes that:
Sunday 7/6/08: We ate at a place called Cafe on the Square in San Marcos with
sacred_sperm's parents. They were leaving for a 2 and 1/2 week trip, so it was the only opportunity to see them for a while. Luckily,
standerbys is a speed demon!!oneone and made the trip in record time.
Monday 7/7/08: Breakfast was BYOB and lunch was white chocolate chip pancakes and eggs and bacon (for some). Dinner was "gourmet hot dogs" which were kosher franks on french bread with omg!!! homemade relish and tomato soup.
Tuesday 7/8/08: We all slept pretty late, so lunch was at 4 - just sandwiches and tomato soup. Dinner was chicken alfredo.
So far it feels like we've been together for a lot longer than we actually have. I keep thinking, "Wait, we did that yesterday??" Speaking of yesterday, we saw my parents' house and went to the outlet mall. When we got back we decided we would play volleyball at the river, so we all got ready and it promptly poured, as if on cue. Our plans thwarted, we decided to watch Fellowship instead, which was awesome.
frog_princess brought tons of chocolate and I made popcorn, it was quite a feast. After the movie we played several board games. First was a German game called Blokus, which is kind of like Tetris, but not quite. The night before we had played a path building game called Ticket to Ride, but we went for something different and played LotR trivial pursuit. Unfortunately, that game is totally full of fail.
Today we slept late and went back to my parents' house to watch a movie. We totally reconfigured the living room and hooked up my computer's sound system to watch Two Towers. After disc one we took a walk through the neighborhood and
standerbys and
frog_princess took pictures of the most interesting houses. By the time we got back it was too late to watch disc 2, so we're putting that off till tomorrow. Right now we're waiting for Jason to finish making dinner, then we'll play a different LotR game and probably Lord of the Fries, which is a Cheap Ass Card Game tm.
I'm getting sick of listening to them giggle at the pictures they've taken today, so I'm going to go see what they're doing.
