Of all the objects or people for that string to be connected to... why him? Was it merely a coincidence, or something profoundly deeper? Was it my subconscious that willed it to happen?
It seemed other students were pleasantly surprised and some even disturbed when discovering where their strings led to. To be young and full of possibilities...
In either case, he didn't seem discontented by the news. Then again, it's not in his nature to be phased by something so trivial. I wouldn't have minded spending some time accompanying him, if he didn't already have his hands full.
