Alexander Keith's

This is a beer that I've been buying recently when crossing the border into Canada: the Alexander Keith's IPA. I'm often attracted to beers I can't find in the states. And Keith's was sold in a case of cans, like Molson's and Labatt's, for the comparatively cheap case price. Often times, the smaller breweries' offerings are sold in 12-packs and bottles, which you pay a premium for, and don't pack in the trunk quite as nicely.

Anyway, it's a nice beer. It's not what a microbrewery in the states would call an IPA, I think. It's not nearly that hoppy. But it's a nice blonde session ale.

Well, pkhentz bought me a Keith's pint glass for Christmas. What a nice gift! And oddly enough, I actually saw Keith's the other day in Ryan & Casey's here in Greenfield. I didn't buy it -- the Canadian beers aren't cheap here like they are in upstate New York, instead they're often priced like Bass or Amstel Light. But I think I might have to get a six-pack now.
