Short Takes
Not to copy pkhentz, but I also had the idea that I should post something, and snippets are what I've got.
- It's witch's tit cold here. It's supposed to get below zero tonight in real temperature with a wind chill in the negative double digits. I've been stoking the fire all day.
- We're planning on going to the Boston Children's Museum tomorrow. Our diaper lady (bless her heart) gave us comp tickets.
- I've been reading Bobby Fischer Goes to War and it's good but not great so far. Oddly, I feel like you learn more about the Soviets than Fischer.
- I have a part in the college's production of The Laramie Project. Actually, three parts. More on that later.
- I drank the last Belhaven from last weekend's Burns Night festivities before dinner tonight. I still have tatties n' neeps left. I was thinking about making shepherd's pie.
- My term as reigning chair holder of the Poet's Seat Poetry Contest is waning. This year's contest is on. Entries are due March 8, with a finalists' reading in April.
