So, after a January thaw that saw the thermometer reading on the Greenfield Savings Bank sign downtown at 60 degrees on Saturday, today, we got winter again. We got the call at 5:30 a.m. that L.'s school was cancelling for a snow day. When we went down around 9:30 a.m. to shovel out the cars, we discovered that there was already about six inches of wet snow on the ground and it was still falling in earnest. I had already decided that I wasn't going to drive into the office, but shoveling the snow clinched it. So we hung around the house today, went for a walk in the woods and read. It was nice.
