Easing off on the pressure
I think I'm going to discontinue my book reading/ book review blog at Blogger. I've been trying to get around to updating it for a month now, and it hasn't happened. The last update was in July, before I even went to Paris. I'm three books behind, and honestly, the pressure of "I'm supposed to write this up when I'm finished" kind of takes a bit of edge off the fun of reading them.
Since I've started faith_king, I can casually shout out inspirational sci-fi/fantasy as I read it and say a few things I liked about it, whenever I feel the inkling. And keep them conveniently tied together with a clever tag, of course.
This will take one more thing off of my self-ascribed list of things I MUST GET DONE and then feel pressure to do them and feel bad when I don't.
I just can't do it all. I'm still in the process of figuring out what to keep and what to let go. The more I think about it, the more Faith Fiction Quest is a definite "let go".
In other news, I had a flu shot this morning, and it's making me feel kind of blech. One day of blech is about par for the course for me and the flu shot.
