We are having quite a good visit.
(1) I have 100% finished my Rapunzel bustier. I will post pictures when I take the trouble to.
(2) I finished transferring the patterns for embroidery 2.0 of the Rapunzel skirt. With due diligence, I should be finished by the end of next week. Due diligence begins tonight, probably while watching Little Women (Winona Ryder/ Christian Bale verison, which grav_ity has never seen) and/or Renaissance Man (which she has never seen either).
(3) Wrote 1500 words of Tangled fanfic for het_bigbang this afternoon at a write-in at Panera.
(4) My T.A.R.D.I.S. birthday cake is underway and the blue icing looks far less scary than I thought! Also, it will make everyone's mouths blue.
(5) I cleaned ALL THE THINGS in the kitchen/living room this morning. It was tiring, but satisficatory. Right now I am midway through cleaning the patch of carpet where the litterbox lives. Mom has been complaining that she can smell it for the better part of a week, and I couldn't figure out why, with the possible exception of the heat. But the super smell control litter and my cleaning diligence has usually done the job to keep the litterbox above her notice. Last night I finally noticed that the bottom of my plastic box was cracked, meaning that a modicum of cat pee has probably been getting into the carpet. So I doused it with water and carpet cleaner, scrubbed it, and soaked up most of the water with our water-sucker-upper vacuum, which was bizarrely fun to use. I have now doused the patch (not quite as much, but enough) with Lysol, and after that soaks for a bit I will scrub it and suck that up as well. Oh, and I also went to PetSmart and bought a big stainless steel litterbox.
Toby is suspicious of me now because I smell like strong household cleaning things.
(6) The weather has been amazing.
(7) The swimming pool is beautiful, even though our fandom productivity means we've only stopped to enjoy it once. We will rectify that tomorrow.
