Why I Love This Vid: I am an optimist by nature. Even with a show as dark as BSG, I gravitate toward the positive aspects. This vid focuses on the comfort and tenderness that manifest in the various relationships on the Galactica: parent/child, friends, lovers, anything is game.
Just because I would consider it an "up" vid, however, does not mean it isn't a good match for BSG. I had a talk with my sister once about this song. She said she liked it, thought it was very pretty, but she also found it "so sad" And it is. The lyrics treat on the loss of innocence in the light of the overwhelming harshness of life. I think that sadness is what really makes you take this vid seriously as BSG.
Also, I really think I love ensemble vids more than any other kind, and this one gets the benefit of the entire run of the show for its clips. For me, personally, it's sort of a concise presentation of exactly WHAT I loved about BSG from beginning to end.
