Plan for a Friday evening.
Laura, Ryke, and the kids are driving up to visit tomorrow for the heart of the day. We'll take advantage of the pool heater, and I suspect it will be my last official swim of the season.
In anticipation of that, I need to go to the grocery store after work and get a few hostess type items, as well as stocking up on some regular groceries. Also on the agenda is helping mom clean out the pool (I think there might be four whole leaves in it, so I'm not sure exactly what she has in mind), exercising, finishing that pesky Chuck vid, beta read my Ren fic and send it off, and only THEN turn my brain off and watch TV.
This morning my sister called me at work and I talked to my niece and nephew on the phone, albeit briefly. It was a pretty hilarious thing, truth be told. My niece is only now just starting to catalog actual words, but she still has plenty to say, and even without seeing her face I can hear this in her voice:
"HA! Mommy gave me the phone!" (*triumph*) "And I know it's not fake this time because I just saw her talking to it and I hear it talking back to me. HI!!!"
Nolan has more concise things to say. ;-)
